Student Academic Resource Services, Inc. (STARS) is registered as a Hawai'i Domestic Nonprofit Educational Corporation and is licensed to do business as an "independent contractor" providing curriculum, tutoring, and academic resources for high school students on the Big Island of Hawai'i whose families have chosen to home school. We offer a college-prep, home schooling curriculum that is guided by the "Hawai'i State Academic Content & Performance Standards" and that covers all core academic content areas.

While the STARS curriculum is "web-based," and most assignments are submitted online, our students meet together with experienced and credentialed teachers up to three days each week for small-group academic sessions, project-based learning opportunities, and island-wide research expeditions.
